At MAPA Sound, music is more than just a profession—it’s a legacy. Born from the powerful creative bond between father and son, Victor Chicri and Vic Delnur, Mapa Sound is where two generations of passion, expertise, and innovation converge to shape unforgettable sonic experiences.

A Legacy in Music

Victor Chicri has been a musical force since the 1970s, working as a maestro, pianist, and producer. He has collaborated with Brazilian legends such as Gal Costa, Seu Jorge, Bebel Gilberto, Tim Maia, and Emilio Santiago, among others, performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival alongside the Quincy Jones Orchestra, and earned a Latin Grammy. With decades of experience as a music director at TV Globo and over 30 years working with advertising agencies, Chicri’s influence in the industry is profound.

Following in his footsteps, Vic Delnur is a multi-instrumentalist and record producer who has toured the world with the psychedelic indie rock band Water and Man. His career includes collaborations with artists like Sessa, Mahmundi, Trella, and Luciane Dom. Together, Chicri and Delnur created MAPA Sound and also formed Orlas, a musical project that blends samba-jazz, bossa nova, disco-funk, and experimental soundscapes into a genre-defying experience.

MAPA Sound is more than just a studio; it’s a place where sound finds its voice. Inspired by the founders’ hometown, Rio de Janeiro, the name Mapa—Portuguese for map—represents the fusion of cultures, perspectives, and artistic expressions that define us.

Based in Astoria, New York, with stunning views of the city, our studio specializes in music composition and audio post-production for commercials, television, feature films, podcasts, and branded content. We collaborate with leading agencies and brands worldwide, ensuring that each project carries its own distinctive sonic identity.
